To me they're all great game, but it hurts me (a little) that MGS2 now looking at it in retrospective didn't bring any significantly new to the series, although it was flawlessly exectuted gameplay wise. When I was making the list I just couldn't bring myself to put it above the first one (for MSX) since that game back in 1987 was simply revolutionary, and if I had to choose I'd take any other MG game and enjoy it a lot more over MGS2, even both old MSX games.

1st Place = MGS4

2nd Place = MGS3/MGS1 (JOINT)

4th Place = MGS2

Ive played all without 3 im halfway threw 3.

Imo my favourite is 4 and thats mainly because i played 1-2 and half 3 this year so i cant really say i remmeber it a while ago.. if i played it at THAT moment it would probably have a bigger impact. What i like about 4 is that well in MGS1 you feel like a noob and you kinda learn to get forward, In MGS2 u can see the one u were is like a pro eliteist, In MGS3 ur not even solid snake so forgett it but in 4 you see what happend to this elite soldier and everything he has been threw and they just keep throwing alot of bombs at him which makes the whole game epic as you see how he tries to struggle to save freaking mankind and getting his ass raped on the way! Damn.. *Drops a tear*..

The worst.. well 1 was good i liked the story but as i said playing a PS1 game atm is hard XD.. But it was really good

2 Wasnt bad either, was a big improvement compared to 1..

3 is awesome atm..

2's story was just WOOT!? to me, the whole GW was retarded in my opinion and the end cutscene was so long and boring i almost fell asleep.(This is coming from a guy that LOVES MGS4 have completed it 18 times and love to watch mgs4s cutscene over and over mainly because its so hawt XD so i dont get bored and i actually have a clue wtf is going on lol).

1 was really pure awesome XD a bit annoying going back and forth but the story itself was great really easy to follow and had an awesome way of story telling.

4.. epic man everyone here in vgchartz know i love it

3 so far is like this hollywood thing and i love these things hero types etc its great and big boss is a great character, i loved how he pwned liqiud to bad he gets owned by the boss atm XD..

Gameplay imo 4>2>3>1 lol

I like 2s controlls because it was SO EASY to adjust to it and to keep using it besides Raidens jumps was awesome XD, 1 was .. really freaky at start and u got pissed off easily doing a mistake, 3 was also good but felt like a fail version of 4 lol and 4 imo is the best because imo i found it VERY easy to handle, u can do .. so many stuff i sometimes find new stuff to do so yeah...

Overall on my all impressions :

1) Goes to MGS4: Its epic dude, The perfect game FOR ME i cry i laugh i get amazed, masterful game.
2) Goes to MGS1: Awesome story, A bit bad controlls but dude its a PS1 game XD. It was a amazing game too.
3) Tricky part.. Im giving it to MGS3: So far ive been amazed with big bosses character i really love it.. the gameplay isnt bad, the story is pretty cool getting to know all characters, although the area the jungle is really boring i just wanna scream : Show me something new. Its also very easy to get lost XD.

4) MGS2: The story isnt bad really, but the character(Raiden) is a bit dull (in MGS4 he owns) the ending was a big ???? for me but i got most parts. The story telling was a pain sometimes like when the colonel (well not rly him) got retarded and started saying shit i was like wtf.. it was pretty cool since hideo does alot of these stuff XD but it confused me alot, especially the whole ending with rose where the hell did she come from.. controlls are decent. Good game aswell but not nr 1.

One is the best for me, I was never able to get myself to finish off another so can't tell you which was worse but the fact that I liked the first enough to keep buying the later ones despite not finishing them shows that it was great
