Forums - Nintendo - Do you think Link should start talking in future Zelda titles?

Link = No (Facial Expressions)
Mario = Yes (Hell we have all heard him talk)
Samus - Yes (Im sorry I WILL NEVER FEEL LIKE IM SAMUS) So give her a voice.

EDIT - NPC should have voices.

Having no voice for link destroys the game, and just shows how backwards the company is.

Link and the NPCs not speaking is a bygone from a past era, where it wasn't possible. Well, the Wii discs have plenty of space for full-fledged speech for all characters. I can make my peace with Link staying silent (even though I don't like it), but if the others don't talk in the next one, i'll be pissed off.

I really am not a fan of voice acting ... It takes the laughably bad writing in most game, delever it using an awful actor phoning in a performance, and the expense of it (and desire to make the most of the expense) means that there are far fewer unique characters who each have far less to say and there is a high level of repetition from anyone who isn't one of these unique characters.

Yes. They just need to make sure Link's voice actor is spot-on. If they don't, the franchise will fall behind in quality. Not having the main character say anything, written or oral, stops the game from having deeper characters.

Who says that good storytelling in videogames is has to be in the first person and be character driven?

Hell-To-The-No...

Zelda games desperately need voice acting. For NPC's, that is. I say a big fat NO to Link speaking.

"Well! Excuuuuuse me, Princess!" :D

On Topic:

No. I don't want voices in my Zelda games.
Whenever I play Zelda games, I always use my own name instead of "Link".
I sort of immerse myself into Hyrule ..you know what I mean?

NOO!
