Screw a price drop. Nintendo really needs to come out with a good bundle. I suggest Wii + Wii Sports + Wii Fit. I'm afraid that no publisher will put out games which use the balance board. Nintendo needs to make sure balance boards get out there to a bunch of people. Or wait, that's already happening. Maybe Nintendo could release colored Wii's this year. That would be cool.

Wii will not get a price drop this year..

Wii Sports Resort will make sure of that..

In the unlikely even that Japanese sales don't pick up then perhaps it'll get a small price cut there..

losing money isn't Nintendo's way, they leave that to the other two console makers

The Wii would certainly need a price cut in Japan to drag it back up to the safe level of 40K per week.

Oh, so they should do it from some sort of social responsibility to the "gaming community", rather than actual business reasons. Okay then, I think MS should make Live free because it's unacceptable to have it cost more than PS3 online.

 I've been getting that same feeling lately as well. I think they will do it to try and provide a boost to the overall home console market.

...In fact, i think all companies should in Japan. The Home console market needs a boost in the WORST way there...
