The person who wrote this article is clearly unprofessional and by the looks of it, is just pissed off over the lack of SE's support for PS3.

What exactly has Wada done wrong?

- Got in touch with Microsoft and(assuminlgy) accepted money from them?
- Restored the relationships with Nintendo and made it sure that Dragon Quest will only increase its popularity in future?
- Bought a UK-based publisher which owns IPs far more popular in the West than anything non FF/KH related Square can produce?

His actions so far made perfect sense and let SE grow and expand.

That's why profits are down, right.

As long as that doesnt make them cutting jobs and canning projects I dont really see your point. We are in the middle of economic crisis, yet some companies manage to expand and make take-over bids while others are going bankrupt and being bought. And SE is not one of these.

They only made profit because most of the games that were produced were bunch of remakes, for ds, and spin-offs, for psp. It's not really expanding, more like milking.

Gifs are a great way to express opinion. Tell me now, what IP's does Eidos own which would justify the huge price tag of the company? I am trying very hard but cannot think of a big one, there was one but it's gone down the shitters past few years.

Quite frankly SE can go fuck itself for all I care. I don't care if they go multiplat but everything has been extremely lax as of late.

Releasing buggy crap like the Last Remnant built on an unfinished 3rd party engine and reneging on thier simulatneous 3 platform release promise. Remake after remake after damn remake. Too many delays and even longer Dev times for underwhelming titles They have at least ten title announced 3 years ago still unreleased.

Nomura is literally the only thing that makes them worth keeping an eye on.

Should have stayed PS3 exclusive yadayadayada

Trying to write an intelligent article when being aggrivated is clearly a bad idea. If you want to play Star Ocean there's no-one on the planet stopping you from buying a 360.

And if he really thinks Eidos is only Tomb Raider he's an idiot.

I think part of his point was to make everything multiplatform not just a lamentation about the loss of FFXIII exclusivity. Also, perhaps $200 + RROD stops him from getting a 360? you never know. No single game is worth $260.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

He actually says that? I guess I didn't pay much atention.

I thought multiplating was the point of the article (inspite of fanboyish overtones)

Quem disse que a boca é tua?

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

Their handheld strategy works. And by expanding I mean buying Eidos, that certainly is expanding.

About the IPs: Tomb Raider, Hitman, Championship Manager, Deus Ex, Thief, Just Cause. It is note worthy that in the West all these games are able to easily sell more than any non FF/KH related SE game. Tomb Raider and Hitman, if done and advertised well can sell the same in NA/EU as a mainline FF game. Even the TR:Underworld has already sold 1.5m+, with its terrible advertising and critical response.

@RPG: I don't agree with much of what you're doing but those gifs are hillarious.

Really? I think you're going by recent trends on that statement. Square's games use to sell a lot.
