Forums - Gaming - Article : Wada is leading Square-Enix's empire into decline!!

I agree with the statement. I just think Wada started doing it longer then people think.

Funny to hear this guy wine that SE isn't personally catering to him specifically.

Most SE fans likely don't have a PS3.

Wii is most likely specially considering Japan.

Whats the basis for this argument?

I'd say S-E has lost a lot of fans. I for one bought anything with squaresoft on the box back in the ps1 era much like there are many who buy anything with nintendo on the box but they started to die quality-wise after the merger. I still like some S-E franchises (only FF comes to mind now) but I'm not the fan I used to be.

Interesting article from a Playstation website. Did they write a similar article about Sony?

The difference is that, the guy that created playstation bailed, when ps3 wasn't successful.

The person who wrote this article is clearly unprofessional and by the looks of it, is just pissed off over the lack of SE's support for PS3.

What exactly has Wada done wrong?

- Got in touch with Microsoft and(assuminlgy) accepted money from them?
- Restored the relationships with Nintendo and made it sure that Dragon Quest will only increase its popularity in future?
- Bought a UK-based publisher which owns IPs far more popular in the West than anything non FF/KH related Square can produce?

His actions so far made perfect sense and let SE grow and expand.

That's why profits are down, right.

It's all part of the master plan to take over the world!

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Final Fantasy games still sell craploads and very few people own PS3s?

DQ sells tons in Japan yet few people in japan own PS3....

etc.

As long as that doesnt make them cutting jobs and canning projects I dont really see your point. We are in the middle of economic crisis, yet some companies manage to expand and make take-over bids while others are going bankrupt and being bought. And SE is not one of these.

And about mutiplatform games....I agree that it is weird how FFXIII becomes multiplatform, yet SO4 isn´t (so far at least.. could the lack of the 'only on 360' logo be an indication of a future PS3 port?)

Should have stayed PS3 exclusive yadayadayada

Trying to write an intelligent article when being aggrivated is clearly a bad idea. If you want to play Star Ocean there's no-one on the planet stopping you from buying a 360.

And if he really thinks Eidos is only Tomb Raider he's an idiot.

I wonder what makes you think that you are so smart. Because to me it looks like you are too stupid to point out what is so wrong about my comment about Eidos, so you have to bring these gifs.

It still doesn't justify your argument. The truth is that, there's really no way to be sure.

FF may sell craploads but no FF game has sold more than the ps3 has sold. Your point works on DQ. However, since FFXIII was announced long before DQX, there's even the possibility that the ps3 has more S-E fans than the wii.
