I think Crash Bandicoot was most successful when it was developed by Naughty Dog. I think if the series is developed by Naughty Dog, crash could have a chance and make a great comeback. However, the fact that Naughty Dog is concentrating on the Uncharted series, it looks impossible at this point. I don't know, maybe, I am wrong.

There's no doubt in my mind that Crash could be big again if Naughty Dog made quality games in the franchise. Question is.. Would they be smaller or bigger than the original 3.

The Crash name has been dragged through the mud. There is no way he could make a comeback. Just look at Tenchu.

Nope, the original Crash was made by a team of like 4 people. Two of them were the ones who started ND, I know for sure both of them left, but I have no idea about the two others...

Mascot platforming ain't what it what it used to be. I don't even know if the fanbase hasn't outgrown him. I think Crash's glory days are done. Then again, any franchise can do well if the game is really well done. If Naughty Dog put their hearts and souls into making Crash an upper echelon title, and if the media were on their sides, then my answer is: A definite maybe.

Well assuming its as good as Crash 2 and/or 3 (warped) then yes it could.

Since the franchise has pretty much been dead since the Last gen it would need some amazing marketing to get people to notice it again. If it gets good reviews and attention by IGN and other big sites then there could be some good internet hype.

Conclusion: It would take a ton of effort and advertising, but yes it could become popular again.
