Forums - Sony - The reason you love Sony?

I used to love Sony but not anymore especially after their attitude like getting two jobs to buy a PS3 and overhyping the PS3 as the most advanced thing on the market. Also how can you let FFXIII go? waaahhh! I don't know if Sony did the same thing in the past with the PS2, most likely they did, but I didn't really follow gaming news back then. I do like some of their products: PS1, PS2, Bravia and Xploid.

What I love about the PS1/2 was the amazing selection of games, mainly 3rd party games. I do appreciate their first party games like Patapon, Twisted Metal, Ico and God of War. As for the PS3...nah, not feeling it yet.

@warmachine
the world is never ready to move forward until you force their hand. Digital broadcasting has been available for years. it is just now becoming mandatory for all channels.People still are resisting it as if it were a bad thing. Shoot,i remember when my mom was going through her VHS-DVD transition. She refused for the longest to upgrade. When she realized thatvhs was discontinued she had to. Now that she has experienced the benefits of dvd she cant go back.

It is finally that time again in our lifetime where we move on to bigger better things.

You say there is very little difference between dvd and bluray, i say thats crap. there is a 40% increase in picture qaulity, u can see pores pustulating on peoples faces. it looks worlds better.

the truth is you just dont care for it because you are "satisfied" with dvd quality. nothing wrong with that. Yet take this into consideration. All that extra space on BD alows for more content. imagine the whole series of your favorite tvshow on1-2 discs.

Lol, are u blind?

There are and have been so many 1st party games from SONY. I love SONY for these games mostly, that innovate, are fun and make me smile; ICO, Shadow of the Colosus, God of War 1 & 2, Grand Turismo 1~5, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Jack & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, Legend of Dragoon, Twisted Metal, killzone 2 etc, etc. I love Nintendo for the same reason, they both have sole and make their own awesome games. M$... well they have a lot of something, and, it ain't sole!

Just look at the PSN and compare it to XBL. SONY has all the original and innovative games. Flower, Noby Noby Boy, Flow, Fat Princess, Pixel Junk Eden, Pixel Junk Monsters, Every Day Shooter, Super Stardust HD, Magic Ball, Cuboid, Tori Maki, The Last Guy, Dark Mist, Loco Roco, Echocrome, the list goes on & on... and they are all original.

If u still cannot see it, than I cannot respect u as a gamer.

Playing and finishing games first>>>>>>>>>>Then talking!

Opinions are subjective and just like moods, can change.

TOP 12: Deus Ex, Shadow Man, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturn, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Metroid Prime, Zelda (series), Uncharted (series), FF Tactics, Persona (series), Demons Souls, Vagrant Story.

MOST WANTED: Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Last Guardian, ICO/Shadow OTC HD

continued ....
or imagine never having to replace a dvd because of damage. BD DISCS DONT SCRATCH!!!! Seriously, they are practically impenatratable. This is what BD offers.

Bluray's scratch resistance is enough to have me sold.

It used to be Nintendo for me, but then it switched with the PS2. I felt like Sony cared, and I decided on that with all the stuff that came with purchasing the PS3. Now if only they could remember that important third-party games still are important as well... >.

Currently playing: Marvel vs. Capcom 3, League of Legends

Wow! This thread got big since I logged on last!
I started my gaming days with an Atari 2600, a Commodore 64 and a NES myself and then I got myself an Amiga 500 and a 1200.
From there I owned a Sega Mega Drive until I bought a PS and a N64.
Next gen I had a PS2 and finally got a PC (a bad one but still somewhat usable).
This gen I have been a PC only owner so far and loved it, I will, however, make the leap and go PS360 this summer and there's a decent chance I'll end up having a Wii as well.

I suppose the point of this point is to illustrate how my taste varies, I started as a Ninty boy and then became a Sony fan around 96 and now I'm in love with the PC as a gaming platform.

And Zenfoldor; the youngest console owners on average this gen are 360 owners, which would make it likely that the 360 "fanboys" are also the youngest of their kind. I realize you were referring to fanboys in your first post but it was kinda hard to make that distinction, which upset many people (apparently) as it sounded like you were saying that every PS3 owner was a driveling idiot no older than mid to late teens that had no job and no life.

It's just typical Zen.....Attempting so hard to act superior, on a video game forum nonetheless.  Most of us just laugh at him.  Almost all of my friends prefer their PS3 to  (360/Wii) this generation and all of us grew up on NES/SNES.  So this little 'informal' assumption is nothing more than a poorly informed typical response from Zen.

cool my longest thread eva lol

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

I don't really like Sony like I use to at the PS1 hay days//they have now changed their whole perspective on gaming. The Xbox last generation damaged them this generation//reason being they wanted to make a far surperior hardware and add Blu-ray which to my knowledge is a awesome addition//I love Sony for the PS1 and PS2. Not the PS3 or the PSP//not much support or love from them for those platforms at all. I felt last generation with the PS2 that I was getting flooded with countless amounts of software//this generation I'm hesistating on buying games for the console altogether//today I just bought Enchanted Arms and BioShock for the PS3//I don't have to many PSP games either.

I like Sony but the love is lost//they seem to not care as far as I know//so I could care less about them//
