I don't mind that, since it's true.
However one that really pisses me off is "the Playstation brand" from every Sony press release.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
Whats so hard to understand when around half the PS3 installed base (or more) bought the PS3 just for the Blu Ray and not for games? This was around the PS3's launch when it was being sold to people as the cheapest Blu Ray player on the market. The 360's installed base majority bought it for games. You could see it easily for their highest selling game around the time of Halo 3's launch. PS3's installed base still has yet to go past quarter strong sales on the installed base and as the PS3 installed base grows, the gap problem gets larger, and larger, and larger.
It might not be much bigger, but it certainly is better for the console, per gamer.
We buy a shit ton of games, while the PS3 audience, not so much. Just compare exclusive sales, or how bout sales of the best games, like Bioshock. It's quality, not quantity.
Not that I'm taking credit for the 360 fanbase being a megaton for the industry. I'm just stating that it's a damn fact.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.

I have two Xbox 360s, one was free from a friend and the other I bought myself. Neither have broken down and even if they had there are very few Xbox 360s which have been scrapped for whatever reason because 1. They were all under an extensive warrantly which only just expired for launch units and 2. They sell back the refurbished units cheaper at a later time.
Theres always going to be attrition with people who have their consoles break down, lose interest, move on. etc, but theres nothing to suggest that the Xbox 360 is any different from the Wii and PS3 in this area so its not something you have to keep in mind when comparing consoles as it effects them all. You could either say it effects them equally, and at this early stage in the console lifespan it effects them marginally. The PS2 on the other hand shows the effects of its overall attrition in its software sales.
Tease.
What about PS3 owners buying it ONLY for blue ray?
Aww logic failed.

I'm so sick of the terms "PS2's big/great install base." My friend went through five of them. Therefore, I can reasonably estimate there were at most only about 30 million individuals with PS2s.
Consider that the 360 has a software attachment rate of 8.1, which has been highly publicised and touted by MS as the best ever attach rate for a console in history.
You now want us to believe that the install base is actually just 20 million? This means an attach rate of ~11.5!
Wow...which word shall I choose to describe this feat? How about GREAT!
