Forums - Microsoft - Tales of Vesperia Was Outstanding

I love this game to death.

I still wish Flynn was the main instead of Yuri.

I wouldn't mind them doing another game from Flynn's perspective but part of the reason I liked ToV so much was because Yuri was the lead. Flynn would have made the game far more generic. He is a prototypical lead character. He is valorous to a fault and even his artes were the typical artes that a Tales lead normally have. Yuri's unique disposition is what makes him one of the better JRPG leads in years.

Yuri did not lack emotion he had plenty of it.If he did not he would have never done what he did during the story like when he

killed ragou and cumore or when he kill don whitehorse.he even tried to kill member of his own party like when he told judith her answer would decide her fate or when he tried to leave the party at halure to go kill estelle.he could have killed raven if it was not for that blastia heart. And at nortapolica he was even willing to kill flynn.Oh and he killed zagi.all in all yuri is too badass for a videogame

Couldn't have said it better myself. Yuri was awesome cause he was an anti hero and it was rather refreshing than these lead characters who always choose "the good and right thing to do".

This game was such an underratted game, and in my opinion it's hands down this is the best RPG across all platforms so far this gen.

" Rebellion Against Tyrants Is Obedience To God"

The best RPG for me last year, but I am biased tales fanboy sometimes.

Yeah this game really blew me away and I wish I had more time to play it for a 2nd time. I knew I shouldn’t have wasted so many hours trying to do Karol’s warehouse jobs… LOL… Yuri was not the typical hero or even anti-hero that you would expect which was refreshing. He did do a lot of good and just followed his own justice at times. He didn’t overdo it which is what is different and didn’t get all emo about it either.

We have seen a Flynn character way to often and it would have lessened the experience. It would be interesting now though if they made a game from his view point. He had a lot of behind the scenes adventuring that we haven’t seen. I bet they could make a good game with him and his party of characters as they listened to the government and tracked Yuri around. They can even replay some of the old cut scenes from different angles…

Ah well too bad the game didn’t sell so well. It is great!

Who knows, maybe MS will pony up the cash for a Tales of Vesperia: Flynn's Brigade for 360 or maybe Namco could bring Flynn's part of the Story to PS3? Since the majority of the assets could be reused ala Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk, it wouldn't be that expensive of a game to develop really.
