This particular holiday is sham seeing as it was invented by business. Besides, love is just an emotion which is just a chemical reaction. All you have to do is learn to control that reaction and then you can eliminate it, like pity or remorse or mercy.

Well yeah, if you love someone it should be shown every day...but it doesn't hurt to say "happy valentines day!" anyways to your SO if you have one.

Hallmark isn't getting any of my money today, nor am I buying roses! I'm buying my gf a little baby cactus :p yeah, she's eccentric like that, but i love it :p

It's about love... single or a couple that doesn't matter... It's a reminder that you should say that you love a person.. your lover, a friend, a classmate, a co-worker, your family... a gift is optional..
