I know there are alot of Valkyria fans here so, I wanted to ask is the game really worth purchasing because the demo sort of put me off it a little bit.

and also can you mention another rpg to which it is similar?

Reson for this is that I can only get 2 games this month and I want to get Kill zone 2 so.... I want to make sure this is actually worth it

Myself nearly everyone here are immensly enjoyed. There have even been few that also didn't like the demo but still bought it and enjoyed it. I can't recommend it enough to any fan of RPG or strategy games.

And there really isn't much similar to it as it's a pretty new game as far as fighting.

Playing Valkyria reminded me of Hogs of War. That game was fun. Anyways, the demo doesn't do Valkyria Chronicles any justice.

I only played the demo but it reminds me of "Ring of Red" for the PS2.

Absolutely go for it! I thought the demo was so-so as well. The full game has so much more packed into it. The story, battle system, book mode, charm, longevity, ect.

I'll refrain from getting long winded this time. I can do it!

Demo is basically tutorial part of the game. Actual gameplay is far more complicated and rewarding.

@ mrmetoo: same thing happened to me with the demo.

I suggest you go watch the prologue on youtube. That piece of animation and story already convinced me entirely to go for this game.

+ that the commentary from 1up was pretty straightforward. They say that the only moron is the one who doesn't buy this gem of a game, so that should tell you something :p

Yh VC does remind me of that game a little bit to be honest. I love VK. heck just mentioning it makes me want to play it. lucky for me the disk is light in arms reach
