This year is looking quite good. Granted 2008 had some big hitters. I think if the Wii can get two AAA titles this year they could pass 2008 rating wise but not sales wise (nothing is going to top Wii Fit, Smash Brothers or Mario Kart sales by Nintendo this year).

I can't agree more. The fact is that the wii still has not a single third party game with a 90% average other than ports... If the wii had some of them maybe third party would complain a little less on how Nintendo is too "dominant". However I think that games like deadly creatures even with a 75% average score worth the purchase as much as games like Mass effect or whatever. I just don't see any "PUNK" games on hd consoles and these are my second favorite kind of game after Nintendo classics. This is why I cherrish my wii so much.

It's different, I'm afraid of what the consequences might be, hardcore gaming is being destroyed, etc.
