This is what I posted way back - never fear Nintendo always comes good.

I have a friend who appears in the Metroid Prime 3 television commercial for the American market - the ad involving an airport passenger lounge and includes experience videos (people playing the game) and game footage. The ad was shot about 2 months ago. All the big Wii commercials are shot in Australia including the original Wii ad with the 2 Japanese guys.

Nice. Think they should show off more "space" scenes, flying between planets to promote the game as well. That would excite people. This seems too much combat.

Wow at how they spend so much time showing the controls and having everyone make a retarded face. I didn't like the narrator's voice, either. He would have fit better into a WWII commercial.

Nintendo has mandated that all commercials demostrate how players control the game.  This reinforces the Wii's mantra that the controls are simple enough for anyone to pick up and play.  The branding they have created with the car, music, and two guys is phenomenal.  I don't think the ad campaigns for the other two new gen. systems come close to having the same amount of recognition or impact.  Good job, Nintendo!
