I love DS3. Dont fix whats not broken. Tho if there was ever a need to change, like other suggested to concave the trigger buttons. But thats all i can think of and isnt really a bother to me as much.

It may not seem a big concern for some but it's an added expense to an already added expense filled industry, 360 is a joke on that. And one I don't want. I have the added bonus that my recharge cable is long enough that I can just plug it in and continue playing. |
I'm not going against what you're saying as having the PS3 controllers and being able to plug them in through USB is a great thing.
I'm just coming from the angle that for the accessories and such that do need AA batteries, I've found the rechargeable ones I've used to be quite the asset.

Oh, gotcha and yes they are. But in the case of DS4, having rechargeable pack in my view would be a step backwards. Just a longer battery life is fine.
Hmm, pie.
I would agree. As long as the batteries in their controllers can be replaced if needed, then USB/wireless connection is great.
I have no problems with the DS3 apart from the R2/L2 buttons which could do with some improvments .
A two controller system would be sweet , I don't think it's the controller that is the issue but how games make use of the control schemes , i'm much more concerned about the actual gameplay.
DS4 because you really shouldn't try to fix what isn't broken. Although the triggers really need to be improved.
PS. buying seperate rechargable batteries is the dumbest idea ever. I've had my SixAxis for about 2 years and the joysticks are wearing out. I can't understand the concern about the built in batteries' lifespans, it's not like using rechargable batteries would allow you to use a controller forever.
Fix the triggers so they curve outward or even better, put the triggers on the back of the freaking controller as buttons. That way I can hold it comfortably without having to oddly stretch out my fingers around the triggers.
Swap the left joystick and d-pad so I can actually hold the controller instead of holding it whatever fashion lets me reach the joystick.
Bubbleshape the buttons on the pad (like the Wiimote's A button and 360's buttons).
Go find a 6-button Genesis controller and steal its D-pad.
Give me turbo functionality on the base model. Mashing buttons ultra quickly isn't fun anymore and just wears out the controller.
| IllegalPaladin said: Oh my god..... first you have to buy the charger...... and then the batteries.... and THEN you have to charge them? Oh woe is me :P So yes, it may be more expensive in the shortrun, but I've used the same six batteries for over a year now. |
The official 360 batteries are $11 each. If you get the whole kit (battery + charger cable) they run $18-20. You only need one cable and the prices are pretty reasonable imo.
You can use AA rechargables as well. I have a mix of 360 batteries and rechargable AA's since they are used for my headset & wireless guitars.
I actually prefer to have the "option" of different battery types because it's inconvenient for me to have plug my controllers in via USB or Play&Charge while I play.
