What about you and why ?

I always liked RE3 the most.

I always enjoyed when the RE games had an enemy like a Tyrant and/or a Nemesis.

I started with Res 3.Dam it was scary!And great!
So I would say Res 3.
Code veronica and Res 4 were great as well.

RE2 for me.

I voted for Res Evil 2, but only because the Gamecube version of Resident Evil 1 wasn't there.

I know the popular choise is Resident Evil 4 but my favorite is Res 2, followed closely by Res 1. Res 4 follow the old ones. To me Res 1 and 2 are more horrorgames than Res 4 which feels more like an action game (a damn good action game but I love the old-school survival horror the most).

It's probably no surprise but: REmake

By far the best RE and survival horror game ever made.

I say Resident evil 2.

2 Playable characters.

Plus scenarios A & B for both so effectively 4 playthroughs required to see everything.

And play as Hunk and Tofu in 4th survivor.

Mr X........... nuff said.

All in all great value.

Well RE2 is the best IMO. But I still think that capcom should have split the serie with RE4 release.
