Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness

Alright, unless it's still at 40$, I will be picking up Crisis Core this week. If not, I'll most likely end up with Disgaea, Jeanne D'arc, Final Fantasy tactics or Star Ocean.

My JRPG debut was also on the PSP. The first JRPG was Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and the second one, which I'm still playing is Tales of Eternia! IMO Tales of Eternia ist better, but FF is still awesome! I recommend both.

There two RPG's you MUST try:

- Tales of Eternia: first RPG available for the PSP. It's still pretty nice. As you're a noob, you should love it. The game is easy, sometimes funny, the story is interesting and you won't be "lost". Must be pretty cheap too! Really, go for this one!!!

- Crisis core: Amazing graphics, nice story, nice combat system, nice music. You don't have to play FFVII to understand the story, you shoud give it a try!

Other than those ones:

- Final fantasy tactics: war of the lions: Maybe a little more hardcore, but one of the best Trpg ever made! Amazing story and beautiful cinematics.
- Final Fantasy II: don't buy the first one, the second one is much better.

Alright so before this thread dies, which one should I get first ?

Crisis Core or Tales of Eternia ? I haven't checked yet, but the second one is probably rare to find in stores.

Star Ocean: First Departure, Star Ocean: Second Evolution, Tales of Eternia, Breath of Fire 3.

Xen hit it right on the money. If you can get both of the Star Ocean games, you'll be set for a while. First Departure is the only game I play on PSP. It is great.

Are you sure Zill O'll Infinite is coming outside Japan, I really found in interesting and even thought about importing, but i Saw some videos and the game is full japanese, and even with most of the text in Kanji, so it's unplayable for me by now...

@Soriku: what are you talking about? You just have to follow the way ... Boss fights are pretty easy too. No really, this isn't a hard game to me.

OT: Which one should you pick first??? That's hard, ToE and Crisis core are completly different RPG. If you want a more traditional RPG, go for ToE. If you want a Action-RPG with crazy hair cut and amazing CGI, go for Crisis Core. But you should get both, ToE must be pretty cheap by now.
