Forums - Microsoft - KH3- Will it come to the 360?

I would say probably. Wii because of the development costs and userbase, PS3 because KH sold well on PS2, 360 because Square Enix loves Microsoft all of a sudden. That, and they'll pay for it.

Disney loves the Wii, the Wii is cheaper to develop for, and Square Enix has already shown that they don't really care for console"Loyalty", especially when "loyalty" means putting their games on a console with only half of the user base of the rival.

Chances are it'll be Wii exclusive, of PS3/Wii.

Goddamit.....I'm getting sick of this saying. The only thing that Disney has put on the Wii is that Hannah Montana and High School Musical crap. KH3 is a completely different game than those two. And if it's budget we're talking about, Pure had a larger budget than those games....and look what systems it ended up on, and pay particular attention to the system it WASN'T on.

And the "loyalty" concept has to hold some weight, because like you said.....they're putting they're games on consoles with half the userbase of their rival (FFXIII, vXIII, Star Ocean, Last Remnant, etc).

With Nomura at the helm, it will definitely at least be on the PS3. Whether they decide to FFXIII it, and put it on the 360 is a toss up...but I don't see it as a shoe in for the Wii as you seem to think it is

Just so you know, there is more "crap" than Hannah Montana and High School Musical (http://vgchartz.com/games/index.php?name=&console=Wii&region=All&developer=&publisher=94&genre=&keyword=&boxart=Both&results=50&order=Hits)

And please tell me what's the difference between this "crap"

And this "crap"

?????

I dunno....maybe it's the engaging storyline. Maybe it's the character/plot development. Maybe it's the battle system. Either way, your little selected instances don't hold you up very well. Trying to say that KH3 is like Hannah Montana because there's a screen of Sora with Tigger is so horribly bad, because you make it seem like that's the whole game. I could do this, and say that this is what ACTUALLY happens during the most of the game, Disney character or not:

See More Kingdom Hearts II Various at IGN.com

See More Kingdom Hearts II Various at IGN.com

See More Kingdom Hearts II Various at IGN.com

See More Kingdom Hearts II Various at IGN.com

and this

http://www.gamespot.com/users/inferno_gnomes/video_player?id=InY6xGGt5bkOuTPY

And the truth is, the game is a lot closer, on the whole, to the screens I put than the ones you put....but that just grasping at straws

/lol at trying to compare the two by only pulling screens with Winnie the Pooh

Edit: Oh, and I'm glad that you tried to defend the "success" Disney has on the Wii...by showing a list that includes Meet the Robinsons and Ultimate Band. Yeah....those games are JUST like KH.....

Ah, great. Here again, with the removal of first party games. Why exactly would we do that?

I have a test for you all - instead, why don't we remove the sales of western games? Suddenly, the HD consoles fall flat on their faces, while the Wii completely dominates. Also, if we are to believe "Wii owners don't buy core games" myth, then it's also true that "HD users don't buy cartoony/Japanese" games. At least that one is closer to the truth - KH has much more in common with Mario and Zelda than CoD or GTA.

The game has no chance being a PS3 or 360 exclusive. 360 exclusivity kills a whole lot of sales in Japan (at least 500k gone). This series is far bigger than SO in all regions, so losing the PS3 install base would cost more.

PS3 exclusivity would be foolish because of the American install base. Overall it would end up selling only slightly more than on the 360, while being harder to develop for, AND there'd be no chance for a moneyhat from Sony (a 360 bonus).

It can only be either a Wii exclusive or PS360 multiplatform. Those are the only logical choices, anyway. With the Wii doing as bad as it is in Japan now, who knows, maybe Nintendo will push for it. (... Yeah, maybe that's pushing it!)

Why should you take out the first party? I dunno...because despite the Wii "selling the most software", isn't it like 60% of the TOTAL sales come from the first party?

And because the 360 has a shitty userbase in Japan, you want to draw conclusions? Ok, what about the PS3? If you want to talk about, say, Eternal Sonata.....well, that's a year old port. Valkyria and Disagaea are the definition of niche. The one big JRPG that's on the PS3 is WKC right now....and it's at 330k on VGC, but reported to be upwards of 500k....in Japan ALONE. So if you want to use proper titles, and not ones with a year in between releases, then go with that one.

And where does the Wii dominate in Japanese game sales? The only "Japanese" game that's over a million on the Wii is Pokemon....and that's because for some reason Pokemon is still popular. Everything else has Mario in it, or is Carnival Games (-esque). So, I don't know where you get that the Wii is even selling Japanese games.

I don't see why people can't see this game as being like FFvXIII. I mean, Nomura even said the battle system would be similar in that game.

I would love to see it on PS360 but i got a feeling it will go to the Wii if it comes out this gen

You guys are all bickering over vaporware. hilarious indeed! This IP is dying. Only spin-offs and remakes on portables are to be expected.

Here, I'll repeat your ridiculous post from the opposing angle:

Why should you take out the western games? I dunno...because despite the HD consoles "selling the most core software", isn't it like 85% of the TOTAL sales come from non-Japanese games?

And because the Wii has shitty third party support, you want to draw conclusions? If you want to talk about, say, Tales of Symphonia:DotNW .....well, that's a spinoff. Zack & Wiki and No More Heroes are the definition of niche. One big core franchise that's on the Wii is RE4... and it's at 1.67m on VGC. So if you want to use proper titles, and not niche / budget games, then go with that one.

And where does the Wii dominate in Japanese game sales?
Answer: You kidding me? You do realize, that Nintendo (that includes Mario, Zelda, Pokemon and the Wii Series) are Japanese, right? They alone seem to sell as much software as the PS3 does.

To clarify, I don't agree with the above. I'm just pointing out why that whole removal of first party argument doesn't make sense. You can't group the games in huge, often unrelated brackets like "third party games" or "Japanese games" to extrapolate the sales so easily.

As for the game not being like FFvXIII - simple. That game was planned for the PS3 long before everyone knew it'd be the one struggling to get out of last place. For that reason, there are doubts about any major game being a PS3 exclusive. FFvXIII is the exception, not the rule.
