I don't really ever use Live. Heck, I let my Gold expire and I've been living with Silver for a while.

Anyhow, join the club! I got my 360 for free, originally, as well. Except mine came without a HDD or any controllers, so I was incapable of using it for a while.

I use it ALL the time now, though. I say you should keep it.

Same condition that mine came in, except it also needed a new faceplate!

Nice! Well, if you're buying all new gear, then, buy off of eBay. I got a 20GB HDD (I recommend at least a 60GB though), two controllers, and twelve games for about $400 when I got my 360. All of that would've cost between $600 and $900 at Gamestop (if I did $50 per game + $50 per controller + $60 for the HDD, that'd be about $760 before tax).

Keep it! Games are cheap! Yes!

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

X360 has the better controller for handling shooter games and it has a huge library of games. X360 gets more exclusive DLC for its games both multi-platform and exclusives. X360 has the better online console gaming experience and is worth its annual price. X360 has plenty of life left in it and more great games will be released on X360. Heaps of cheap pre-owned X360 games are widely available.

OP, what model is your X360? Pro? Arcade? Elite?

Keep it. I wouldn't buy one, but if I were given one I'd get the exclusives that interest me, e.g Lost Odyssey, Vesperia, SO4 and Halo 3. Surely something interests you as well.

Keep it. You know the 360 is cheap made, you wouldn't get much money for it. lol

Really, keep it.

how old is it does it still have its warranty?

Pretty much brand new. The warranty is a bit of an issue though because it was given to me after a retail store in the UK went bust and they were literally dumping them in a skip.

I know what you say about the controller and many would agree with you, but I prefer having an R1 type button for shooting because especially in COD I can press it much faster than I could do with a trigger or even the RB button on the 360.

As for the 360 itself it is an Arcade with HDMI port, so not a bad aquisition for free!

i have all three consoles and there's games that i like on each. it does require a lot of time - which i don't have - so i end up getting games that i don't start of finish.

if i didn't have gold live then i probably wouldn't bother with the xbox though.
