People just find KZ2's aiming difficult because they're used to CoD4 and stubbornly refuse to change their ways. CoD4 is now the "God FPS" that all FPS games have to be compared to, and they must match it move for move.

Here's a hint: It's not CoD4. Don't try to make it CoD4. Put the aiming sensitivity on full, it aims as fast as CoD4. That's good. But keep it on Standard 1 and put Zoom on toggle.

I played CoD4 on max sensitivity for months with perfect results, due to the way they have the dead zone and the lack of acceration when turning, its a contant speed from what i remember.

KZ2 does not have a constant turn speed, it also jumps too much from tiny inputs to the sitick.  So incresing the aim speed just makes it worse.   I have my aim speed lower then default and it still feels too loose when using the iron sights.

No, the problems with the aiming is that the control has a massive deadzone and response so slow it isn't even funny.

Now that explains it. This is why it doesnt quite feel right shooting, then turning and shooting. How the hell did this slip through the net?

Wow.. Why would anyone care about that if u cant discover it? The fact that u have to slow down the time to discover it i mean.. okay........ lol

Er... I know that four frames might not sound like much, but input lag of LESS than that on HDTVs have been deal breakers for me. Playing games with that kind of lag time makes the controls feel floaty--it's like playing drunk. It's the reason I only play fast paced shooters on low lag computer monitors or on CRTs; a tenth of a second is laughably small to most, but it gets me killed.

The video above does make me wonder if this latency has more to do with the TV than it does the game itself, though.

I really hope Killzone is nothing like Gears of War.

Well, Gears of War sold MILLIONS, particularly within the first week, and generated a hoard of fans over it.  It is generally accepted as a good game, with Gears 2 being even better.

Anyhow, in regards to the demo, I am impressed.  Looks like a must get for any PS3 owner who is a FPS fan.  I want to get ahold of it and try it to confirm, but it goes on my eventually get for my PS3 list at this moment.

looks better on my tv

still dont understand what the control issues are. plays just like i expected from a realistic fps. i suppose it is a marmite case, u either love it or hate it.

i find the way it controls helps build the atmosphere and feel of being in a war and shooing the opposition. the control complaints are best compared if someone was to complain saying forza and gt controls are to stiff and dont feel as good as burnout or n4s.

remember to judge it in context. if you were to swing a sledgehammer, it will take you time to build the momentum and when you want to stop it wont stop instantly. if you like what is meant to be a war simulator, you will love kz2. there is nothing like it on a console, if you want an arcade fps you wont.

@ like i said MARMITE! :p

I have just played the demo.
Now i have the game on pre-order.
only three weeks left now...

Sorry but I hear this defence of the controls a lot and it is complete crap.

If it was meant to be real then why does a pistol handle the exact same way as a assualt rifle, and when in real life do I try to re-aim something and it just doesn't?

These are are just badly designed controls.

don't buy it then.

I personally think it's one of the best and most satisfying control/aiming on PS3.

you feel that it's not good since it's different .then this game is not for you,,,don't argue with people and impose your own feeling on others.
