- It's a FPS (and we know how FPS are loved this gen ...)
- It's the most beautifull console game ever
- It's a console exclusive
- It will be well advertized (2 million pounds for the UK alone).

So yeah, sales are way too underestimated.

And BTW, the game will be a hit too in japan (for a fps!). See preorders^^

That's not intended to be a complete list either, more of a snapshot of how some other games have fared. I would guess that the total for Killzone will probably be roughly around the latest Call of Duty (~700-800k), due to the similar demographics of the games. I would be surprised if Killzone were to debut over a million; it's not that well known outside of the gaming community, and it's not part of an established franchise.

As for sales, I think it will fall between 800k and 1200k.... so likely about 1 million.
