the part about PS2 being the leader because of a 100 million plus user base is stupid. Are you gonna be bringing up this argument that PS2 is king in 2010 when PS2 is selling 2,000 a week and has no games coming out anymore just because the userbase is bigger? Is the original gameboy technically king because it sold more than twice as many consoles as DS? Keep grasping for those straws.

Because of the Wii's major success, more people are buying Gamecube games, so even the Gamecube got a revival. Now people who owned the Playstation 2, last generation, and own a Wii, this generation, can finally appreciate the awesome Gamecube games that they ignored, and of course, the awesome Wii games. Good work Nintendo, it's up hill from here!

Surpassing the NES will really show 'em then. I dunno 'bout passing the PS2, but I'm begining to think that this much (the NES's 62m) is pretty much a given for the Wii. johnsobas - no i wont say PS2 is still on top in 2010 when its selling 2k a week. but atm its selling 50K a week & 4 games in top 12 & a game can do 500k in 1 week!(vs same game doing 57k on Wii)

By the way, if the Playstation 2 came out the same time the Xbox 360 did, I don't think it would be beating the Wii.
