I'll admit this, the first game took a few hours to heat up.

Bioware games usually do!
I'm just getting into controlling the ship myself, setting out to do some tasks and explore a little!
I could see it go to ps3 for these reasons.
1. Its Ea
2. Ea paid 300 million for Bioware
3. They annouced Dead space for why not this for ps3
4. Ea reported loosing alot of money.
They're probably not saying anything for 1 of 2 reasons. 1, they don't want to hurt sales for the 360 version, but its coming later. 2, they are currently in negotiation with MS (keep in mind that any contract Bioware signed with MS for this IP has to be honored by EA), so they can't say for sure.
I really can't see this game going to the PS3. MS didn't get to being a mega-corporation by being careless when pouring millions into Bioware to develop a exclusive series, and then publishing it. I bet there is an air tight contract with Bioware regarding exclusivity to the 360 and PC. If that's the case, it's not gonna matter if EA owns the series now, is bleeding cash, wants to publish it on every system from an Atari to the N-Gage, etc. They can't do it. Not without violating the contract, or getting MS to agree to different terms (which will likely require EA to throw MS a bone).
PC is still considered a platform right?
So 360/PC would count as multiple Platforms?
Not saying it won't come to PS3 but....

If only Microsoft's previous attempts at buying out Bioware were successful. They were a real asset to Microsoft for the Xbox.
Since saves carry over, if ME2 was released for the PS3, why they port ME, too? 2 year old ports won't seat well with PS3 owner, it would do Bioshock numbers.
ME 2 and ME 3 may come to the PS3, but if you see Mass Effect on a PS3, it will be a Photoshop job. My heavens - ME has the same kind of chance of landing on the PS3 as KZ2, GT5 and MGS4 appearing on the 360. Zip. None. Nada. Nathan. Not happening.
Sure, the later ME2 and ME3 prolly will show up on the PS3. I think they are holding their wad until GDC.
There is one other thing to consider: That MS does, in fact, have a pact in place that foresaw this - and is very, very sticky for EA. MS funded the first Mass Effect - and they published it. However, with the Bioware acquisition, that changed their future projects, but maybe - maybe not their current projects - Mass Effect.
You may even see these:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3
Jade Empire 2
Xbox 360-exclusive. Right now, MS has been very, very quiet about this. EA is the only ones making any comment - and Patcher is looking like a clown - talking about 'Yeah, ME will be on the PS3.' Just that statement proved how retarded he is.
Seriously, it's a battle between EA and MS over Mass Effect. EA definitely wants an ME trilogy on every platform, but MS is not budging. I think MS may cave but only after a long timed exclusive, plus some serious money changing hands. EA is really thinking about all this - and if this game will get the sales it needs on the PS3 to warrant it.

It's an MS product. They gave permission for EA to publish it on PC. MS has hogtied that puppy. It will never, ever see the light of day on the PS3.
If you don't believe me, check this out.
Mass Effect was originally released for the Xbox 360 and published by Microsoft in November of 2007. EA Games president Frank Gibeau explained that EA has "struck an agreement" with Microsoft to handle future publishing of the title, promising "brand new titles" in the future.

If I was MS I'd sell the rights to ME back to EA so that they could release the game on the PS3. I don't see how the Mass effect franchise will have any weight on the decision making process for anyone still looking to buy their first HD console.
Mass Effect sucked and I am not interested in any sequel. Even so I hope he was talking about the Wii when he said multi format. Think about the internet meltdowns, the sweet HD fanboys tears, the EA boycotts, the suicide letters ...
Please god, I know you are not real, but just this once grant me a Christmas miracle.
