Everything but the graphics card is good. Well, the 3870X2 is decent, but it feels kind of old.. so it depends on how much that store will take for it. Do you live in a small town? I'm sure you can find a 4850 or a 4870 somewhere.

 

i live in rosario.. the only city thats bigger is buenos aires... well, the gtx295 cost 600 pesos more (200 dolars), i'll search for other card.. could you give me some ideas? cause they didnt had the 4870 x2 ¬¬

 

Do you mean the 3870X2 cost 800 dollars?

I think they must have the 4870 or 4850 in the 2nd biggest city in Argentina!

 

yeah, 800 dolars, or 2400 pesos.. i'll ask for those cards thanks.. i thought the same thing lol, they must have it somewhere.. the problem is, argentina is a subpopulated country (40 million people with the amount of territory we have is ridiculously low), so practically everything is concentrated around or in buenos aires ¬¬

the memory reads that it's type DDR2 and is of 2G or 2gigabytes. so it sounds like a single for 2gb.



Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Yes.

Bolshak, you write the prices in a confusing way, but as I understand it:

GTX 295: 1000 dollars
3870x2: 800 dollars
4870: 450 dollars
9800GTX: 600 dollars

Wow, hardware cost A LOT in Argentina! But the 4870 has a good price (for being Argentina)- easily the best choice out of those 4 cards.

The CPU Phenom 9850: 300 dollars is a good price for you.

But the motherboard (MSI K9N2 Diamond, nForce 780a SLI, DDR2) costs a lot... 450 dollars. It has a built in nice sound card, but you should try to get a cheaper motherboard if you can.

4870 is a good choice.

Try to get a cheaper motherboard. All motherboards have similar performance and the 'features' don't mean much to anyone. Anything Socket AM2+ should do.

Look for a Phenom II X4 920. It's cooler, newer and a lot faster than the 9850, but you should be able to find it for the same price. If you can't, then the 9850 is fine.

 Props to you for declaring this. Too many hardware freaks on the forums out there make too such  a big deal out of these features (which leads to elitism/fanboyism and also bad advise to others in their buying decisions). It's always pissed me off.
