4870 is a good choice.
Try to get a cheaper motherboard. All motherboards have similar performance and the 'features' don't mean much to anyone. Anything Socket AM2+ should do.
Look for a Phenom II X4 920. It's cooler, newer and a lot faster than the 9850, but you should be able to find it for the same price. If you can't, then the 9850 is fine.
