This is now the "Bash 1UP" thread. Good analogy. I always thought their reviews sucked. Their sites sucks too.....SOOOO SLOW!!! I wonder if they will say something like "Lair is really not that fun, however, since it has awesome graphics, we'll mercifully give it a 9.5!!!"

As far as I'm concerned Metroid will be better than bioshock just because you can die seriously bioshock offers no real challenge, Ge whiz them big daddies' are tough, derrp, good thing I just come back to life after they kill me, derrp, I can bust'em up with wrench some more dooddly derdily derrp
seriously places were harder on prey for the exact same reason and I'll agree that it basically ruined prey, once again hype over shadows a glaring flaw, exact same reason I won't be able to put any weight a single stinking review for assassin's creed

It does suck though that the game had to be brought out right after Bioshock. Now all of the sites will have to think of it at all times, maybe not intentionally, but it will be there. Also it doesn't help that it seems like some people are not happy at all with the way the bosses don't regen after you die. I read about it and I thought it sounded stupid, but now maybe they may unintentionally lower any score they put out for Metroid if that same concern is something that spreads through the offices of whichever online magazine. Just a thought, I don't know how overscored Bioshock is, if at all, since I haven't and don't plan to play it.

I'm waiting for the 1UP review of MP3 because it's the only website I trust when it comes to the Wii. Kidding ;) Actually I'm pretty sure that their review of MP3 is going to be pretty good.

1up will probably take a point away just for the box art they hate so much ;)

Lol Legend. Yeah we'll see how their review turns out. If Shane reviews it though I don't think the review will be good. From the preview it seems he went into the game expecting to dislike it and nothing was going to change his mind.

I expect a 9 on many sites not a 9+ because of the visuals :s.

Yeah, because we all know a site that has a -3.5% bias for the 360, a -4.2% bias for the PS3, and a -9.6% bias for the Wii is reviewing everyone fairly and equally. I love how you always get mad about people calling 1UP biased and yet you can't ever justify those percentages. Yeah that's fair. Just because there are systems out that have better graphics we should dock all systems, even the ones showing the best graphics that they have shown so far. That's why all PS2 games were rated badly. Of course God of War 2 looks like complete shit compared to the 360 and PS3 games that were out when it was released. So lets knock it down to a 3.
