GC: Pro Evo Wii, Konami Mobile Titles Inbound



Multi-million selling franchise Pro Evolution Soccer will be making its Wii debut in early 2008, Konami said Wednesday. The firm also announced that a number of its key properties will get mobile launches this year.
Konami is currently developing a bespoke Pro Evolution Soccer title for the Wii, slated for release in quarter one of 2008. While the firm said that the title will offer the same level of realism that has established the series, it has had to undergo a major rethink to fully utilize the Wii’s motion-sensitive control system. Full use will be made of both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. “We are extremely keen to introduce PES to as wide a selection of football fans as possible, and the Wii and its unique abilities are a perfect fit,” commented Jon Murphy, Pro Evolution Soccer team leader for Konami. “The potential for PES on the format is enormous, and we look forward to a very exciting start to 2008.”

Ahhh it's refreshing to finally see quality third party games. Although it's a small amount now, it will hopefully flourish and expand. I was getting worried with games like Boogie and Destinies.

In that case I draw my words back that the GC is a load of crap so far, Top Spin and this announced on the WII, are quite some huge announcements. Hopefully Konami won't screw up on advertising then like they did so far with other games for the WII.

Don't forget about Zack & Wicky and Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, those games are "also" third party games and very much promising!!!

But it seems like Wii finally has started to get some well know franchises...
