Forums - Sony - Killzone 2 aim/look speed: Realism? Or bad attempt at it?

As someone said its too hard to make small adjustments when aiming, this is part of the reason why it fails for me. The controls feel loose as you turn and move side to side. Unlike a game like CoD4 where the controls are very tight and you can control your weapons and can make very small adjustments in a split second. The aiming is not real at all in KZ2.

just get use to the controls and stop making everything a thread.
i thought battlefield was hard to control at first.
guess what i did got use to it and now i pwn

same with killzone they are hard at first i was like wtf is this....but i set up to my liking now i play like if its COD without noticing

thatz my .02

Currently waiting on : killzone 2 and everything else after it..day one purchase baby

No is ok im might of said some negative things about it in my impressions but after messing with the controls i got used to it and didnt even notice it any more

The real things they need to do to make it feel more real

1 Blind fire the AI and ur squad can do it Y can't I thats not realistic if u cant do something others on screen can do.

2 Rumble wen u land from jumping in real life i feel a shock through my body wen i land from a jump why not in the game

3 Shooting the rocket launcher at the walls after the smoke clears there should of been some kind of mark theres none that's not realistic my bullets leave marks Y not the rockets

i dunno i felt cod4 was more loose than kz2 in that department.

Just in case no one mentioned this but if you go to OPTIONS
you can CHANGE EVERYTHING to make it play like COD4 for those who like to complain

put zoom hold
put it on L1
put the sensitivity all the way up
and it feels like a different game

people complain cause they suck at it, they are used to idiot proof aiming in shooters.

K2 is realism, you dont let of a clip and maintain perfect balance or movement.

Come back to me when you've actually fired a gun. For starters the recoil in this game is far to low.

As for moving speed, its just to sluggish as well. Most assault rifles fall in the 7-10lbs range. They definitely have heft to them, but they are hardly heavy enough to prevent quick, snap aiming. If you want some proof of this then look up videos of delta force or the navy seals training. They hardly have slow, "realistic" aiming.

maybe it was a rumor but i heard they are putting cover on toogle so i would be a button press

but if not it doesnt feel arkward to me

the thing is with any shooting game is that if it doesnt play like your favorite FPS it WOULD feel wierd NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE GAME IS

no one complained bout Res2 cuz it plays like COD

just get your fingers use to it and cover isnt in MP sooo it be a thing where you have to get ultra experience with

ha yea could you imagine if you were given some guns and somehow your body was programed that you could only move and aim as fast as a game let you.  You would feel like you are moving in super slow motion
