@okey
Um, not buying a game because of the controls is not a retarded reason. Controls are incredibly important. I'm glad you can overlook such a huge issue like that. You must be incredibly easy to please. Wish I could bring crap into my home and be happy with it.
Btw, it's everyones loss. The devs will make less money than they could, which hurts their company (obviously). My friend and I are going to rent RE5 and try to play through it in a day instead of buying it. The coop is enticing, but the controls just.... suck so much. Five of us aren't buying it because of the controls. Five out of six because of controls alone. They're losing a ton of sales because they don't want to take the time to update their control scheme.
If you want more examples look at LBP. Yes, everything else about that game is cool. But it's a platformer. Reviews that praise the heck out of it and give it a 95/100 but then state that the controls aren't very good drive me nuts. Let me restate that it's a MF'ing platformer. There isn't a single thing more important to a platformer than good controls. Nothing. Everyone notice how LBP's sales dropped after the initial wave? I obviously have no "proof" of this statement, but I think it has a lot to do with the terrible controls. One more game I, and many others, didn't buy because of bad controls. Really glad I rented that one first.
Sorry, i'm kinda just ranting now. Poor controls are one aspect of gaming that just really drives me nuts. So many decent games out there that coulda been so much better with good controls. There will always be people that overlook bad controls or (apparantly in okeys case) somehow find nothing wrong with a terrible control scheme most of us instantly hate, but to the majority of us out there controls are a big deal. Sales will go down dramatically if people don't like the controls, and there are a ton of people who don't like the controls in KZ2.
