I guess business does not care about anything except for making money at all costs.  Capitalist American society is appalling.

How many other people will lose their lives due to some evil electrical company cutting off their electrical power during the freezing cold winter?

Cut it off during the warm weather but not the winter.

 

In england people have free electricity when it is cold out?  Damn i applaud your government.

 

 No, but the Government gives you money to help pay your bills. "Heating allowance" and the such. Mainly for pensioners, the unemployed and people on low incomes. Not enough, really.

 

There are plenty of programs that provicde that in US as well.  You just have to apply, just cause this guy did not know what he was doing doesn't mean we should bash america.

I think Bay City Electric Light & Power is owned by the city, and is not a company. It's a government entity.

They shouldn't have paid his bills but at least postpone it till it gets warmer outside. They know the dangers of the cold and they know without electricity you don't have heating so, someone can freeze.
