Well, you could either say,
"You are ugly."
or
"You look okay."
Both means the same to some people :)
Eventhough, the second one is a lie.

Khuutra has never lied to me when we were gardening together. He always called a spade a spade even though I always wanted to call them shovels.
Tease.

I've got to agree with Pristine20 on this one. Newell isn't suggesting that they simply hunker down, ride out the generation, and do better next time -- that would be sane. No, he's saying Sony ought to kill off the PS3 and immediately come out with something new. That is madness. I don't know if he just pulled that out of his ass without thinking it through, or is that ignorant of consoles, or maybe he didn't really mean to say exactly what he said; but trying to launch a new console at this stage would destroy Sony both financially and in reputation. It would be at least as damaging as Sega's famous hardware death spiral IMO.
The first part of his comment may be correct, and he's entitled to his opinion on the rest, but his opinion as stated is not very smart (IMO).

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia. Thanks WordsofWisdom!
@Rpruett:
I am not here to argue with Sony apologists. Sony made the wrong decision in this round of the console war, period. Trying to pretend they didn't expect to win is ludicrous.
Bottom line is, Gabe does what Gabe wants to do with his company.
Full respect for him.
If he feels like a potential audience of nearly 20 million people should be ignored for whatever reason, that's also fine. He can put his money where he wants to.
It's his decision. Let him have it. If EA feels like a port is neccesary for Valve games, let them do it like they did for Orange box (only hopefully a bit better than they did with Episode 2). no hard feelings either way.

Agreed. It's the same thing that always happens with third party exclusivity - each company has its own valid reasons for doing what they do.
Let's see.... did Sony help get Portal into my life? Nope. Gabe can say whatever he wants.
And PS3 fans, don't get all butthurt. Gabe didn't attack you or your favorite games. He attacked Sony's business strategies, which have been really stupid for years and destroying the entire company from within.
What a fat xbot, i'm sure he is only saying that due to microsoft writing a big cheque to him.
this news sounds like a fanboy rant. No proffesionalism in it.
They need to re write that article with some meaning and less dribble and more pauses.

I think that Gabe Newell's reputation, and that of his game studio, will weather him saying things that are true about the PS3. And no, Valve should not "give the PS3 a chance". They are too small to create an engine that would work on the PS3, and the returns on making a game for Sony's platform would be microscopic compared to the kind of money that Valve makes delivering an experience on Steam. |
so you agree with him when he and valve say all those things and being inmature? ok thats your opinion. but i dont agree with that. and if you agree with that then dont start saying that sony is arrongant, sony is this, sony is that. because they are as arrogant as sony. i am starting to think that they hate the ps3 because they are a little pro-ms because they havent work for the wii or the ds or the psp either. those are hard to develop for too?. and if he have not worked for the ps3 then dont talk about the console until you try it. just let ms buy you and get it over with if you always want to work for the pc and an architecture similar to a pc.
