Bottom line is, Gabe does what Gabe wants to do with his company.
Full respect for him.
If he feels like a potential audience of nearly 20 million people should be ignored for whatever reason, that's also fine. He can put his money where he wants to.
It's his decision. Let him have it. If EA feels like a port is neccesary for Valve games, let them do it like they did for Orange box (only hopefully a bit better than they did with Episode 2). no hard feelings either way.
Crying over this is like crying over Miyamoto not making games for the PS360
