Lol what a thread :D
Does everything need to be official?
Here in Finland (snow country) we always go to school no matter how much its snowing..Tho I don't remember schools having any problems with snow.

The difference is that we get (relatively) huge amounts of every single year, so we've got very effective routines in getting rid of it. Those poor "Southerners" get less and not as regularly, so it's not considered economical to do much about it.

The countries with the most snow have less trouble with it. Funny how these things work out. ^^

@parokki

obv. cus you are prepared for the snowfall.

in say the asian countries in summer....do they call it a "heat wave", do you hear reports of people DYING of heat (like was reported in france)

hell no cus they are used to it.

so the countries with the most heat don't get people dying in it cus of it....

Well, this is pathetic, I've just been sent home from uni and told that my campus is closed indefinitely. They basically said don't come in tomorrow and check to see if we are open first thing Monday. I need to go to uni to do work, and they bastard tell me I can't do it. It's an inch of snow, I go to uni in the center of one of the biggest cities in England where the snow is only an inch or two thick and we are told that is enough to close uni.

Pathetic

@highwaystar

unlucky....

well then at the least just enjoy the day now

lol you wimps.

This. We had like 1.5 - 2.0 feet the day before school and it still wasn't cancelled.

What's more, we're running out of grit... let's hope the snow doesn't last much longer.

Though, the snowfall isn't quite as high here in Essex, so it won't directly effect me.

Try being in upper NY. They won't cancel school for feet of snow.

I have now had 2 days of school this week! In London it has barely snowed since Monday, though there is still some on the playing fields! It could snow tonight... I will have my fingers crossed!

Even though its my day off, the fact uni has been cancelled is still awesome!

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD
