Forums - Nintendo - A Super Robot Wars game is coming to America!

Atlus U.S.A. announced today that DS action RPG Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier will be released in North America on April 28. It's also coming with a soundtrack CD.

I'm pretty happy, but I just want to know why they won't bring over the PS2 versions......

I've never heard of this game before. Do any of you fellows know anything about this RPG? It's an Atlus game, so I'm sure it's good, but some Atlus games aren't for me.

It isn't made by Atlus. 85% of the games that Atlus publishes, they don't make. This one is a crossover SRPG. Much like Cross Edge on PS3.

Ah, ok. But an SRPG, interesting. I like SRPG's. I'll have to keep my out for it then.

I also think this is the RPG and not the SRPG. They're localizing one of the SRW games and its not a SRPG its just an RPG with Mechs which I think is still awesome.

@OP
They wont bring over the PS2 game because of licensing issues. This one is being localized because the mechs are not from another anime series but original designs.

Wiki.

"It is a spin-off of the Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation series. Released on May 29, 2008 on the Nintendo DS, the title departs from the traditional tactical role-playing game elements for which the Super Robot Wars franchise is known and opts for turn-based role-playing gameplay instead."

The game has been licensed by Atlus for North American distribution and has a release date of April 28th, 2009. It is rated T (for Teen) for alcohol reference, fantasy violence, mild language, partial nudity, and suggestive themes.
