My prediction: Wii will never reach the 50% mark, could even be below 40% by the end of this year.

I don't think the two could compare cause you actually cared and wanted to cheer for the jamaican bobsled team..

 

Why not use math (aka a form of logic) - At this rate the Wii will reach 50% in 19 weeks...

Of course the numbers will fluctuate week to week, but if the Wii keeps this weeks average then in 19 weeks will dig up this thread and reply with "lolcats" phail pics.

You are wrong.  It is Wii owners who will eventually "graduate" to an HD system.  Hence, the Wii will never top 50%.

 I'm sorry. But I truly believe that this is wrong. I think the Wii will drop it's price to $200 in Q3 or Q4 of next year when sales might start to go down a bit. I also think that they will advertise the hell out of the $200 Wii and that it will finally be available in Black so they can advertise the price drop and the new color(and if it is in Q4, a new holiday release!). Sales will go CRAZY!!!!

The HD consoles are fighting it good. PS2 was already over 50% at this point last gen.

I don't follow your logic on this one.. Why would the economic crisis hit Wii hardest when it is the cheapest? I think if anything, the economic crisis will only work in the Wii's favor.
