As I don't know Sony Japans policy when it comes to recorded sales data I won't comment, but it'd be highly unlikely that they can get information from every retailer around the world that stocks PS3's.

looks to be "worldwide quantities". so most likely shipped.

its technically still money in the bank. they spend money to make the ps3 then sell the ps3 to retailers thus money in the bank.
