The interesting thing about this is that this survey only took Panne Arcade readers.

Penny Arcade’s surveyed 38,350 readers on their gaming preferences, which has to be the largest sample of its type. Like, ever.

It’s well worth a nose. The average age of those questioned is 26, and 94 percent of them are male.

They’re not too keen on PS3 either, apparently.

Console Ownership:

  • PC: 86.3%
  • Xbox 360: 54.1%
  • Wii: 53.5%
  • PS2: 52.7%
  • Nintendo DS: 51.5%
  • iPhone/iPod: 29.9%
  • XBOX: 26.2%
  • PS3: 24.5%
  • Sony PSP: 20.5%

..... quite low for the PS3, they don't like Penny Arcade?

Is it an American site? The numbers we have for the Americas is ~ 21M Wii, 16M 360 and 8M PS3.......so it wouldn't be surprising to see an ~2:2:1 relationship between the 3 consoles.

Or your theory works too.

Penny-Arcade is a webcomic made by 2 guys based out of Washington state. Leans toward PC-gaming.

Oh so what's that survey was about? I'd of done it had i known.

PA has had their bit of fun poking at PS3 games.  Lair and Haze being big ones.

Of course they've been the same way with 360 and Wii games...

But PS3 fans tend to have the thinnest skin. Comes with being in last i guess.

I'm shocked PC ownership wasn't closer to 100%.

It's a US site, taken a look at PS3 sales in the US lately?

360 has slightly over double the sales of the PS3, percentage of 360 owners is slightly more than double, amazing!

Considering the perception of 360 vs. Wii demographics, the thought that the two might have similar numbers is quite surprising.
