Isn't this the THIRD thread discussing this topic? I mean sure the subject matter is valid for multiple system owners but, that could have been discussed in the other threads comparing the PS3 and 360 versions of RE5.

Either way, they both look good. I'd rather focus about the controls issues then something as minor as the differences in Graphics. |
What? A ps3 fan saying to look at the controls and not the graphics? Is hell freezing over?
I felt that the colors on the PS3 version looked better, i guess thats just me.
The PS3 version apparently gets massive frame rate drops when theres alot of on screen action. The 360 gets a nice screen tearing and its annoying as hell. PS3's matchmaking is also alot faster than Lives matchmaking (Capcom is going the road of Gears 2 matchmaking >.>).
Due to my brother having 360 only, im gettin it on 360. If screen tearing and and matchmaking problems are still there, i just won't get the game.
I don't think anyone is surprised that 360 has the better graphics when it's a direct comparison, but thanks for the link. It's a good find

I see you use the word differences then go on to say they are pretty much equally matched.
Equal = same.
They are not the same
Xbox 360 - no install, slightly better textures\lighting.
For multiplat owners this is important.
useless, I am not going to stick my eye on the screen to see the difference .
Am I the only one who remembers the Kotaku article saying that in this demo the 360 version looked better but that they later recieved a newer demo from a later stage in the game and both looked equal? Either way, I played both versions and they seemed about equal to me. The 360 version looked a tad sharper but had screen tearing when played at 1080p for me and the matchmaking was also slower. Combine that with my distaste for the 360 controller with this game and I'm getting the ps3 version unless for the final build the 360 version does in fact look noticeably better. I highly doubt it though, exspecially after reading that kotaku article.

you're absolutly right FaRmLaNd : peoples don't care about that kind of difference. The most important think is the gameplay..
It's bullshots, the PS3 version doesn't look like this, I just tested it.
You can see it pretty well in the scene with the guy getting his head cut, the angry faces look as detailed as the 360 version.
