Forums - PC - MS forces you to use its addon in FireFox

God forbid Microsoft gives Firefox full .Net support... we don't want that... that's just plain stupid... no site uses .Net ... as for slowing down firefox... ever look at how much memory Firefox uses? It's like 40-100 megs more than my IE8 uses and I'm running the Beta...

low, even for microsoft.

apple doesnt fall so behind with it clustered and slow itunes.

I'm sure Itunes causes more piracy than it helps solve , that thing is  a pain in  the ass.

really? Ive never had an issue with itunes and ive been using it since os9... Ive always felt if it wasnt for itunes id spend much less on music

come play minecraft @  mcg.hansrotech.com

minecraft name: hansrotec

XBL name: Goddog

Good, I don't have it. If I had it, I'd remove it ASAP, the last thing I'd want is a M$ add-on running in my Firefox, whatever thing it does.

Ya I think people are worried about this because they don't know what the .Net framework is.

Out of curiosity, what does your IE8 use for mem? FF is currently running about 65 meg on my laptop.

Does this really make FF slow ?

seconded itunes blows A**. Media monkey FTW!!

Oh and .net framework isnt so much an ad on as it is patch of somesort. Alot of programs cannot be installed without the most recent .net framework. Its not that big of a deal theres NO reason to complain about it. Its a tiny litle program that should have no detrimental performance effect at all

Long Live SHIO!

Interesting update. If Microsoft is giving FF ClickOnce support, I wonder if that means you could do a Windows Update with Firefox instead of IE.
