Forums - Nintendo - New Brothers In Arms Wii Screens. Looking good.

^^ Why is is the only one? And btw detail your thoughts of the game!! I for one loved the aiming, the camera and the progression. It never gets old!

PS: Are my eyes deceiving me or are the screenshots EXACTLY like the Xbox game?!

IGN - 9.5

It is a hardcore game through and through. You will get your ass kicked by bosses. You will be stumped by the sometimes complex, but never overbearing, exploration.

The controls of course. Sure turning is a bit slower, but it's just so rewarding poping off head shots. It's also nice to see the DS push the grapchics.

And no, your eyes aren't decieving you. Those ARE the Xbox shots. That's what makes it so funny.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I'm not to sure abou those, but the MOH:H2 screens look better to me:

More pictures here. Now, these pics might be pre-rendered, but i don't think so. Anyways, this game looks alot better than BIA.

I honestly don't see it at all. The screenshots from MOH are dull and grey compared to the colorful shots of BIA. I also don't see any beautiful lighting, large environments, nice looking vegetation, etc like in the BIA shots. And the mountains in the background of the first shot look like they're made of about 12 polygons. Textures look kind of blah too.

I'm not saying MOH looks bad, I just don't think it looks nearly as good as BIA (at least from the screenshots I've seen, and yes, I did click the link and look at all of them).

You may not see it, but I do. Brothers looks to focus on draw distance, and polygon count (such as the lush grass all around), while Medal looks to focus on textures and shading (make sure to use the view image command to see the full detail.

It's an apples to oranges thing. A more extreme example is Rogue Squadron III vs Resident Evil 4. Both pushed the GC, but in different ways.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I get what you guys are saying about the monochrome thing in most games recently every game appears to have a tinted camera(resistance, Killzone 2, MGS4, Motorstorm, random WW2 shooter). Brownish, reddish-brown, gray, dirty yellow tint that really drowns out the graphics(personally I suspect it is done to make flaws less noticeable and even reduce the load on the CPU a bit). These screen shots though are for the XBOX version and not really all that impressive. It kind of reminds me of a pumped up version of WW2 Online.

These screens are from a 3 year old X-Box game. Link Ubisoft posted them after the negative reaction to the earlier Wii shots.

The first problem I have with that is, the Wii shots are in 16:9, while the comprable Xbox shots are in 4:3- Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Xbox  version supported 16:9. Also, if you look at them side by side, you can see some differences:

Xbox:

Wii:

Call me crazy, but I see differences between the two:

Textures on the character, backpack and satchel are sharper on the Wii shot

Wii helmet seems (to me) to have a higher poly count

Lighting seems brighter in the Wii shot

Overall, the Wii shot looks sharper to me.

It also looks like the Xbox shot is using AntiAliasing, while the Wii shot is not. These can't be the same exact shots.

I think this is the exact same scene just rendered on the Wii instead of Xbox.

Well a lot of Xbox games with AA end up looking more blurry than anything...so even though there's apparently less AA on Wii...it'll look better in motion than Xbox I'd assume.

It's still not that great though...the Wii can do better.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

So... another port? It's getting ridiculous.

Hope this will be better than the most ports.

My dog is way beyond my ranking list than you.

Better than most ports, i thought we were talking about Ubisoft.

I honestly wouldn't mind a WELL DONE port of a really good game (Like RE4).

That means Graphics boosted, controls that aren't 'tacked on', and some new content would be nice also.
