I usually just guestimate. If a game is a sequel, I relate it to the last game in the series, and what console it is on. For consoles, I relate to what it sold last year, and what the current situation is. (prices, ect.)

 

How do YOU make predictions in the prediction league?



And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

I have a look at the previous weekly charts, and some of the other bets. If it's a game currently out, I have a look at LTD sales for that game, and its last week in the region I am predicting.

I go in and modify everyone's bets so they are off ever so slightly. They don't notice since the change is so minor. I then bet what the numbers will be and put lots of money on it. By doing this I earn extra VG$


just kidding..... or am I




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

actually, I only look at those to determine how much I want to bet. If I feel the average is really far off, I'll place a larger bet. However, the farther away from average you are the greater risk you're taking.

I used to always make my prediction tuesday morning, but then people started copying my answers so I started doing them tuesday night or wednesday morning.

The rounds close ~7AM EST (noon GMT). You can set a timer on your computer if you want. It isn't that hard.
