@ Groucho

I've always heard that the king of RPGs was the SNES.

During the 16-bit era, that was definately true, in my opinion.  By the end of its lifespan, however, the PS1 had a much more impressive array of RPGs (many of them sequels to SNES classics) than the SNES ever did.  Then the PS2 trumped the PS1... and still hasn't been dethroned, really.

Not that 40+ RPGs that 360 has are ... few by any stretch of the imagination Are you sure DS or PSP have more ?

Yes.  The DS and PSP easily have more than the consoles combined.  Probably just with all the Atlus RPGs, they're getting up there.

And in my opinion, just the fact that the DS and PSP has the focus of the Dragon Quest series makes it better.  As you don't need graphics to make a good RPG (though DQ doesn't slouch in thatdepartment either).

Six upcoming games you should look into:

Oh please, list the 40+ RPGs on the 360. You just completely made that up.

And yes the DS and PSP have more than double the RPGs on the 360.

I don't think there are any instances of multi-disc games on PSN -- someone said something about "Command & Conquer" but... you lost me with that one. PC RTS what? If there was a PS1 version, I don't see it on PSN.

Not sure if Command & Conquer games are on US PSN but those are definitely on EU PSN. And they are classified in PS1 classics there so I would guess there's also been a PS1 version. And some games released on US PSN have not been released on EU PSN. Actually, Suikoden, Wild Arms and Xenogears have not been released on EU PSN.

I was talking about already released games and you were combining with a list of upcoming games.

We are mistunderstood each other.

Indeed, when i say 360 has 40+ RPGs (actually 50+ by the list i compiled), i meant overall, the released + confirmed ones

Of course more will be added as we go

And I think you could also trim the list without the fluff. (Age of Conan is on its way to being shutdown on PC!, etc.)
