@mesoteto

You can't be serious. The back library is the biggest reason to buy any console. My most recent purchase was Dead Rising. |
Amen to that. For myself, I purchased Rainbow Six Vegas, and Assassin's Creed well over a year after either had been on the market. I just don't have enough time and cash to play everything that comes out around the holidays, so I have to spread it all out over the course of the next year. With AC I've pretty much gotten through 2007's lineup, so now it's time to start on 2008's.

Oh, sure.
Like you can see it beyond the mountains of your fanboyism.

yeah but i have yet to see anything as good looking as this from my xbox or from the ps3 camp
or this bad boy
you know why?
b/c the wii isnt concerned with making sure that little bit of trash that blows by has a crinkle effect on it---they are more worried about getting art style and flair into the games
well at least teh devs that give a dam about the industry do |
You only showed wii games and disregarded games like ToV and VC on 360 and ps3 respectively
It boils down to this, if X graphics/art style can look good on wii, they can be made to look better on PS360. That's the option presented by the extra "power" in those consoles. The fact that devs choose to pursue realism doesn't mean that the systems can't have great art style
"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)
"WAR is a racket. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler
@Pristine:
mesoteto wasn't the one calling for mods. Gilgamesh was. Pull your foot out of your mouth.
And the potential for graphics has nothing to do with the realization of them. Good arguments could be made for Muramasa and Braid being the most beautiful games of hte generation, whether or not HD consoles could do them better.

Posing it as a fact+your prevous posting history says "can't".
@pris--i think your mixing up my post with someone else....its okay
and i am not saying it can be done, its just that people wont try as hard to do ...at least not he big devs
b/c people will flame them for not using the box to put that extra shine (even if its not needed) on that one pop can on the picknick table on level three
what you will see as this gen goes on is a result of the machines
you will have the 360 and the ps3 trying to make the most real looking graphics they can and art style and the freshness it can bring to a game will take a back seat to skin textures and fire detail
where you have wii devs knowing they cant do that so you will see new and fresh renditions of ideas--like madworld
