It is a bit short but you have a point : Console is a package.

Actually Uncharted has vastly more detail around levels, and Killzone 2 is set in tiny almost barren levels, making it nothing special visually in my eyes

Of course i own a PS3, and can't wait for Demon SOul and FF13vs

But that does not mean i like it better than 360, especially when my gaming goes to 360 with a few short breaks for the few short PS3 games i have got

why be in such denial when so many developers are saying it? 360 is reaching its limits as far as advancement goes. PS3 doesn't seem to be reaching that for quite some time in the future. I have yet to hear developers say they are maxing out the PS3 but the 360 being maxed has been brought up on several occasions.

So, seeing as people who actually must develop for these systems have stated it why must these debates keep coming to fruition?

And dont forget the fact that Uncharted and Killzone 2 are the best looking games of nxt gen period.

When people tally graphics they forget one thing. That graphics is also partly the immersion of what is going on around you. The AI for wind, water movement, getting wet, lighting, etc. These all add to graphics. The 360 may have a more powerful graphics card but the fact that the cell architecture greatly out performs the 360's is over looked. Dont forget the fact that the Cell actually can boost the PS3's GPU. So that ends up with the PS3's CPU and GPU being able to do more.

There is also the fact that Heavy Rain was originally suppose to be a Multiplat title yet had to go exclusive because of the ambitions of the studio. Even they saw the potential for greater power. The Cell is used in the worlds most powerful super computer last time i checked.

So what if Rage has not released yet. The guy programming the game said that. Of course his bosses came and cleaned up the mess, but i have no doubts that it still holds true.

Anyway I'm not saying either console is more powerful (they don't seem too far apart). My point is just that I usually don't buy these claims from developers saying they're maxing out the hardware. Looks to me like a cheap way to generate hype for their games. Making people think "wow, if they're maxing out the hardware this must have great graphics".
