Forums - Nintendo - WINTER online petiton: is it useful?

I mean, I know a lot of people is supporting online this petition and that it has already achieved the mark of 12.044 signatures but........ RESIDENT EVIL 5 for Wii online petiton got 53.502 signatures! And, as far as I know, there is no intention from Capcom to bring RE5 to Wii. Do you still have hope for winter? I really hope YES.

I doubt it´ll make a real difference, but you never know.

useful, not really- yes and no, it shows the interest in the game

what WOULD be useful is if good "dark"/core games that are upcoming

curse mountain, conduit, hotd, madworld, dead rising:chop til you drop sell WELL ...

there are a few "core" games that are upcoming this year and if the upcoming core games sell well=more "core" games to wii, they sell Poorly= less core games and more minigamefests....

if the games are good, do your part to "force" publishers to put more core games on the wii, buy the games.

i've done my part, i have most of the "core" gun games for the wii

ghost squad, re:uc re4 links xbow nerf strike(game is decent) etc.

i will be getting conduit, madworld, hotd etc...

games sell ~500k+(provided they are quality titles) in the us alone= more core games for the wii gamer, games tank (sub 200k in the us)= less core games for the wii gamer, it is that simple.

cod:waw seems to be doing it's part.

Winter needs RE5's votes, because the latter game is not coming to Wii ever. A spin-off that can possibly better has a good chance.

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.

As RMC on Gonintendo said, "I don't know if it will help, but it can't hurt."

Capcom have already hinted at some kind of RE spinoff coming to Wii. Could be RE:UC 2, could be something else. Probably has more to do with millions of units worth of Resident Evil games selling on the platform than any petition, though.

I'm not going to be one of those who say that Resident Evil 5 will never come to the Wii. Everyone said that Dead Rising would not come to the Wii as it's simply not possible, and look where we are. It might look like utter garbage, but it's still here.

And in regards to Winter, I think this petition differs from Resident Evil in the sense that Winter was always planned for the Wii; it just needed a publisher. And it has a lot more backing than a simple petition as well - just look at all the publicity it's gotten in only a week or so.

The problem with Winter is that basically it is a two-year-old tech demo.
It is at least 12-18 months of development away from being a complete game release.

So unfortunately, I do not think a petition will do any good.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I don't think that if RE5 would come to Wii would be any good. In fact, after seeing HD versions I would not want a Wii version, I prefer something new.

Yes, Winter is diferent, it has been planned for the Wii since the beginning. For sure that if the following hardcore games that are arriving in the following months do ok, Winter will find a publisher.

No. Internet petitions are pretty useless and are at best a joke.

Let's just expect that Fatal Frame 4 does ok in Others and America. In Japan only sold 80.000 copies. Good sales are better than petition onlines.
