does one have better quality/efficiency/performance than the other?

which do you perfer and why.

I prefer AMD, no particular reason. I just seemed to have had better luck with AMD than Intel.

Basically, it boils down to this:
If you want the best performance but don't mind paying more, go Intel.
If you're looking for "best bang for your buck" and are okay with decent performance, go AMD.

I use AMD, because my budget is limited and I don't need blazing fast speeds.  For gaming a videocard is much more important than the CPU anyways.

This, basically, Intel offer the best performance, but the AMD platforms are cheaper... somehow the intel-compatible motherboars are more expensive.

I had both AMD and Intel, and there just as good as eachother.



The both browse the internet and play porn videos adequately.

ditto since then for me it was all about AMD.

Def prefer Intel, it costs only marginally more now (at least here) and they're more solid and a lot better suited for overclocking and serious juice imo.
