PS3 has been stacked up against such weird odds and positions

sales could be up down this year....then up next.....then down....then up

I also think that's the best they can do... Is getting a few percentage points of market share that important compared to showing the company and the shareholders they can be profitable? They better just keep most of their studios and assets ready for the next generation and forget about making the PS3 wildly successful. Right now is not the time for bold objectives, it's time for realism.

hmm.....PS3 is guaranteed 3rd party support if it sells at levels its selling at now

GT 5 + FF13 impact will be there

price cut option is there

so sales will come for the console + its owners won't be disappointed by games

so now SONY needs to just aim for profit n give up going for 360 or wii in terms of sales

use the profit made to make a PS4 thats affordable & economical (considering they learnt from theirmistakes)

basically see how things pan out.......they mustn't cut price till its profitable to do so though

i think sony wont mind taking a 50k beating weekly, especially when you look at the prices and the recession. still that doesnt mean ps3 doesnt need a price cut, cause it does!

it all really depends on what sony do. if they cut prices worldwide, then sales are guaranteed to explode! especialy when you look at the game lineup. that coupled with a price cut will put ps3 way ahead of 360 surely! still i cant really see microsoft being over the moon with their own sales. i mean it seems like microsoft have worked their balls off with big price cuts and mega advertising and the difference is only 50k now. microsoft should now concentrate on giving their gamers what they want, games! and forget about sony. it seems they are thinking about sony too much instead of making new games. sony have the game front way covered but they need to cut the price so their loyal ps2 owners can afford a ps3. dont make them wait too long sony!
