Easily. I wouldn't be surprised if it does more to be honest.

yea i mean it's basically on pace to. It's been out for 2 years and a 2 months with 21.5 million in americas, a lot of that was limited due to supply constraints as well. I don't see any of the next 3 years having less sales than 2007, and 2009 should be huge. Obviously the lifespan will last longer than 3 more years so it'll get much more than 50 million.

Topic title is kinda confusing. Are you asking that by the end of 2011, the Wii will reach about 51 million sales in the Americas? Which is about 30 million more than now?

Wii will be wayyy more popular than PS2 cause of wiimote. And don't forget that each generation, gamers expand, so that factor would help too...


Indeed I am predicting big numbers all around for this gen:

Wii - 160 M
X360 - 55 M
PS3 - 45/50 M

Its a good view, all platforms would be pretty sucessfull, no failures this gen.
