Forums - Sales - who makes the most money off of their online?

Aren't some of those games on XBLA free? If so then that totally skews the results. Also, how much money do they even make from having netflix? I don't think they make that much from offering it. Do you pay for the movies or is it just the get one movie then send it back or whatever for another one.

It doesn't skew the results at all. I used the channel surfing for Wii, and Mrstickballs XBLA charts.

They're in the news section, check them out.

Edit: Saw your reply, not going to make another post, so just putting the link here, as you didn't bother checking my source yourself.

They don't make any money from Netflix.  The only way they would make money would be if someone decided to become a Gold subscriber from it.  You pay for a Netflix subscription and can instantly stream unlimited movies from the Roku, 360, certain blu ray players, and the pc.

Yes, several games on XBLA are free.  Or have been free at some point.

I was trying to say it would skew the results if you are basing it off of money generated.  Just because they have millions more d/l games doesn't mean they are making more money if people are downloading the free games.

Microsoft. Nuff said.

M$ by a long shot. live costs money to begin with

I'm pretty sure it's microsoft: you have to play for the online+ good DL games offer + movies + larger userbase than sony.

In second I'd say sony (home+movies+DLC)

And then nintendo.

Don't underestimate the VC. All those games are basically ROM dumps wrapped around an emulator layer. That's ultra-cheap.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

Why bother listening to the HipHopGamer? He isn't very informative and is incorrect on a quite a lot of data.

1. MS
2. Nintendo
3. Sony

Unfortunately this is largely assumed since complete figures for all 3 are not available.

MS by a long shot.

I would think Nintendo would be ahead, but the PSN has more much DLC and other content like that. If we include VC, then I'm sure it passes it. But just WiiWare vs. PSN, I think PSN wins out.
