Metacritic is just a collection of opinions and don't reflect my own, as I used to play 360 a lot, and still do to a point now.

.. 360 also has the most games ranked under 50%

:p

And there probably would be a few more if I was rating them, often times the higher scores are due to hype and because I usually go into a game without the hype to blind me I usually end up thinking "is this it?" especially with those games that only have a 6 hour singleplayer... 60 dollars and only 6 hours I get so mad at that point.

6 hours singleplayer are most of the time reffered to FPS or TPS.

Why don't you add some playtime for multiplayer in your post ? That sounds really biased.

I think many games (I can only talk about PS360 games) are even rated too low.

Assassins Creed, Saints Row 2, Lost Odyssey, Crackdown, Battlefield Bad Company and many many more come into my mind

@Chrizum-Adding the Wii would be a daunting task on top of how much work I'm already putting into this. The PS3 was really used more as a comparison point because the argument was always that PS3 has more exclusives when you take away the 360/PC games. The Wii never came into the conversation. I'll think about it though.

@Kylie-Hehe...you're asking for a lot. I wasn't going to actually make a third list of them all together. I was just going to combine the numbered totals. Just like Chrizum's suggestion though I'll think about it. I just know that'll make the OP very, very long.

Everybody, I don't mind constructive criticism, but I feel like I'm getting more general complaining just for the sake of complaining. I've had people here like Groucho and Kylie, amongst others that have not fully agreed with this but have acknowledged it and want to help make it even more accurate. I don't mind that at all. I welcome that. If all you want to do is twist the data and add in assumptions, then you may as well not bother coming in here, because you aren't getting your wish. I will only change the OP based on other data. There will be no assumptions honored.

I'm going to get to work on Part 2 now. XBLA vs. PSN games.

GTA IV: Lost and The Damned should be on the XBLA

muahahahah!!

Cause those games can be much longer in the singleplayer, even Moon a FPS on the DS is 15 hours long <_<  just because it has multiplayer doesn't exclude it from needing a solid Single player.

Edit: I don't see how it's biased that developers use multiplayer as a comp out for not putting the work into the singleplayer, especially for a FPS which was a genre originally based around the singleplayer, which if you talk about 360 you must factor in the people that don't have online/can't pay/don't know how to.

So it's the gamer's and not the game's fault.

You can easily extend the playtime with options like splitscreen multiplayer/co-op or simply play the game again on higher difficulty settings. I think some games like the Halo, Gears and Call of Duty series need to be replayed on the highest difficulty, because it really changes the gameplay.

I think I don't even need to mention, that achievements and trophies add extra replayability.

Somehow difficulties now replace a good long cenematic story an epic world and fun.  It used to be people replayed FPS games without extra difficulties cause the stories were good and the game was pure fun the way it was built.  *grumbles* damn kids and their damn achivements and trophies thinkin ooo wow... *walks off still talking*

Care to explain what FPS games had phenomenal storylines that got replaced?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

360 has more exclusives and yet I still prefer more PS3 exclusives.

360=10
PS3=14

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

Halo 3
Gears of War 2
Forza Motorsport 2

Fable II

Project Gotham Racing 4

Ninja Gaiden II

Naruto: The Broken Bond

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise

Tales of Vesperia

Dead or Alive 4
Dead Rising
Crackdown
Saints Row
Perfect Dark Zero
Moto GP 06
Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
Project Gotham Racing 3

PS3

Little Big Planet
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Valkyria Chronicles
Resistance 2
Warhawk
SingStar
Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds
Motorstorm: Pacific Rift
Gran Turismo 5: Prologue
Buzz! Quiz TV

Motorstorm

Resistance: Fall of Man

Total
360=9
PS3=12

This is a better list. Only 80+ games. I took out all the games that launched in 2005 and 2006 before the ps3 actually lauched. And to be a little bit fair I took out Motorstorm and Resistance as well.

Why on earth did you take pre 2006 360 games out of the list? just because the PS3 wasn't out then (ignoring the fact that they are still 360 exclusives therefore should be counted) and it makes the PS3 "appear" more equal in comparison when we all really know the truth, it's AMAZING how PS3 fanboys try to spin things it really is and is actually very funny to witness!,

Next we will have to take out any driving and platform type games on the 360 because the PS3 fanboys say so, absolutely pathetic it really is.

If these are the levels PS3 fanboys really need to sink down to just to make themselves feel better than carry on but it still won't change the fact that the 360 has a LOT more highly rated exclusives than the PS3 no matter how you try and spin it!

Which games did you even take out?  At least put a strike through them.  And to be fair you should take out the demo (GT5:P) and any PSN downloadable ones because I say so

I thought I did scratch them. But I'll take out the demo and count warhawk half because you say so.
