Forums - Sales - Others Numbers up!

it will be interesting to see how things play out, the 360 is still riding high off of some holiday momentum... Last year things were the other way around, and you see how drastically things change.

Sony still has brandname, some big exclusives, better hw, and when it gets a pricecut it will turn things around. I am not saying that it will beat the 360, I am just saying its sales will become more healthy.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

im loving how both Wii and 360 are beating Sony on their best turf.

Provided you'll still be here, you'll see Sony will have the last laugh over the 360.

Sure when were in the middle of the xbox720 and ps4 era then yes the ps3 will might beat the 360.

*fixed

And for the numbers...

Average numbers for every console except PS3, which seem to get lower every week. Hopefully it won't hit the rock bottom soon.

It's amazing to see that the wii's march to 50% is stalling not due to decreasing sales but only by increased 360 sales, eaten from the PS3.

I like this gen.

Hold on. Something is wrong.

2008 was the peak year for the 360. Third year, you know. Everybody said so.

So how come the 360 doubles its sales after the peak year is already over?

The 360 is cheating. It is breaking the 4th year rules. It must be disqualified from the race.

I seconnd that motion!

I also propose my own. I think from now on Xbox 360 sales don't count, because its breaking the rules.

I third this, and also present an idea I just thought of! Since the 360 is breaking the sales model (no peaking in it's third year), we shouldn't count its sales.

Well Kungfu Panda is bundled with lego indiana jones and an xbox 360. That explains everything. We shouldn't those count bundles. Kungfu Panda shipments are too low so that everything buys those expensive bundles.

Everyone is waiting for the PS3 price cut but until it happens they just keep losing ground

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

Great sales for Ds, Wii, 360, ok for ps3 and psp.

This should serve as a reminder as to the speed things can change within this industry.

Xbox 360 sales last year were lower then PS3 sales are now. We had posters at this point last year claiming the 360 was essentially dying a slow death in Europe.

Much like we have some posters claiming the same for the PS3 right now.
